The Coordinator of Orlu South Development Centre, Hon. Chief Mrs. Ngozi Ihemdi, has stated that the creation of the 52 Development Centres by Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, had brought development in the oil rich state.
She said relative peace, commercial activities like agriculture, tourism and social development are being advanced in virtually all the rural areas of the state because of the additional 52 Development Centres thoughtfully created by the Shared Prosperity Government.
Ihemdi, an ardent apostle of the Shared Prosperity Government, disclosed this cheering tidings in an interview with journalists in Owerri on Friday.
She added that the Development Centres draw the people closer to the government hence some of the needs of the rural dwellers are being identified and met by government, saying the Governor is prudent, intelligent, diligent, efficient and proactive for encouraging resourcefulness at the grassroots via the entrenchment of social amenities such as electricity, school, market structures, rehabilitation of healthcare centres, among other developmental gains.
The APC faithful reiterated that “the creation of the 52 Development Centres in Imo State by His Excellency, Hope Uzodimma, is one of those government achievements to the grassroots. The rural dwellers are very happy because the feat draws them closer to the government”.
Stating that she is very sure that the Governor will in this second tenure consolidate his human oriented achievements especially on agriculture, road construction and maintenance, Ihemdi reassured that she will give the Governor her 100 percent support, loyalty and cooperation as he builds more roads, other infrastructures, creates jobs, empowers youths and women on digital skills, barbing, trading, marketing, farming, catering, sewing, weaving, hairdressing, artisanship, among others, believing that these measures would strongly shape the financial status of citizens, strengthen development, peace and social security.
“Uzodimma is indeed a pragmatic politician that knows his political onion. I am very sure that he will select credible persons that will work with him to achieve more results for the state. Uzodimma has done what others had never done in their first tenure. In fact, I have not seen any Governor who performed as credible as Uzodimma in terms of governance. He is the best Governor Imo had produced since 1999”, she maintained.
Ihemdi, a fair politician and administrator per excellence, expressed happiness over the sterling performance, success of the 3R Administration which she hopes would succeed in delivering good governance, democracy gains to the people.
“Also, I want the amiable and pragmatic leader and politician, Governor Hope Uzodimma, to continue to maintain the 52 Development Centres in Imo State because the Coordinators/Members of the Centres are his Footsoldiers who made his election easy and contributed immensely to his landslide victory at the guber poll held on November 11, 2023. It is on record that Orlu South Development Centre which has its headquarters at Achii, gave Uzodimma and APC the highest votes in Orlu LGA which boosted his winning.
“We are happy and grateful to God for the electoral victory and successful inauguration. All Imo people should cue behind the Governor and his team to enable them achieve more success to improve goodness and democracy dividends”, Ihemdi stressed.
