Ahead of 2023 Imo Guber, Governor Hope Uzodinma appears to have become a hard knock to crack by the opposition Political parties in the State.
This is even as the Governor has brought to bear, the power of incumbency in various sectors of the State ahead of the polls.
Investigations carried out by Lead revealed that Uzodinma has of late begun to receive mass support given some of the achievments of the 3r administration, an act which according to our findings has not stopped given the opposition parties which have written him off,as non issue in the next election, sleepless nights.
Opposition parties in Imo, particularly the PDP has at various occasions described Uzodinma led administration as a failure which can easily be defeated in the next election.
However, few days ago, Governor Uzodinma announced to Imo people that the Federal Government of Nigeria has converted the long expected Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education into a Federal University of education as well as elevation of Owerri Federal Medical Centre to a Teaching Hospital for FUTO Students.
while Imo people were still in the euphoria of the said elevated Institutions which hitherto are expected to give thousands of jobs to Imo people, the heads of Traditional Institution in Imo started chanting a new song for the Governor over car gifts given to them by the State Government.
Speaking with Lead Express, one of the beneficiaries of the Uzodinma car legesse who would not want his name in print revealed that Uzodinma has done what no former Governors if Imo had done for the Traditional Rulers.
According to the said Traditional Ruler, Uzodinma has done very well in the area of infrastructure, particularly Road Infrastructure.
However, Lead further gathered that opposition parties do not use the issue of non achievments as campaign tools against the Uzodinma led administration rather capitalize on the security situation in Imo, particularly in some of the Local Governments in Orlu zone.
