2027 : Nwakanwa reaffirms loyalty to PDP

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State, Hon. Chika Odionyenma, has reaffirmed his loyalty to the party and its leader in the State, Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Samdaddy).

Speaking at his Amakohia residence when he hosted leaders, stakeholders and members of the party in Owerri North LGA, recently, Odionyenma, who is the founder of Nwakanwa Foundation, said that ahead of 2027 general elections, the PDP National Secretary Sen. Anyanwu remains a viable choice for the governorship of Imo State.

He said that Imo PDP under its current leadership accommodates the interest of everyone irrespective of social class and status, lauding Senator Anyanwu for his visionary leadership.

He added that the fact that the party in the State has indeed become the people’s party wherein members get opportunities on merit points to the kind of leadership Senator Anyanwu will provide if he becomes Governor.

Odionyenma urged members of the party in his ward and LGA to remain committed to the party and support Senator Anyanwu to lead the party to victory in 2027. He maintained that the current dispute over the National Secretary position will soon be over as according to him, Sen. Anyanwu is the rightful occupant of the position.

He said: “When you look at how Imo is configured politically today, you will realise that PDP remains the right platform to accomodate the interest of the masses. It is so obvious. Don’t allow anyone to deceive you. Continue to support the party and our leader Sen. Anyanwu. The better days lie ahead. Samdaddy is the authentic National Secretary of the party. Ignore all the propaganda some people are circulating. Just remain focused”

To support and encourage loyalty to the party, Odionyenma, popularly addressed as Nwakanwa, gave out scholarship to three (3) members of the party in Owerri North LGA, precisely in his Amakohia/ Akwakuma ward.
