Dr Chima Amadi has described Owerri Sports Club as parading men of honor and integrity in Imo.
This is even as he described 2027 as time to save and liberate Imo from shackles of mal administration and retrogrssion.
Chima Amadi who disclosed this at the grand finale of 2025 Presiident’s Nite and investiture of Owerri Sports Club held over the weekend where he was invited as the Special guest of honor donated a sum of five Million to the Club to support their event.
Speaking at the event which had in attendance people from different walks of life, the business mogul turned politician however charged the members of the Club and Imo in general to see 2027 as a time to fix Imo adding that no other time would be better than now.
Dr Amadi who was represented at the occasion by the former Executive Local Government Chairman of Ngor-Okpala, Hon Chinwe Obinna appealed to Imo People at home and in diaspora to see reformation of Imo as a collective task pointing out that all hands must be on the deck to achieve it.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman of the Club, Comrade Uchenna Nwokeji commended the members on their dedication towards the Club adding that Owerri Club which came into existence in 1975 has come a long way yet members remained focused and keeps the rules and regulations of its founding fathers.
He further used the forum to congratulate those honoured with honorary awards which include the Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Prof Otti amongst Others.
The high points of the occasion were induction of the new members as well as promotion of the old members.
