The HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN ON NIGER-DELTA AFFAIRS AND AMNESTY PROGRAMME, RT HON EUGENE OKECHUKWU DIBIAGWU (OZURUIGBO) “THE EUGENE OF IMO POLITICS”, Says for a desired development of the NIGER-DELTA REGION to be achieved, there is need for Synergy between the Various Agencies of Government on one hand, and with the Private Sector, on another hand.

This was disclosed in an address, he delivered at the Sixth (6th) National Council on NIGER-DELTA AFFAIRS, which held in ASABA, the DELTA STATE Capital this Tuesday.

He said the Ministry of NIGER-DELTA DEVELOPMENT, the NIGER-DELTA DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (NDDC) and the PRESIDENTIAL AMNESTY PROGRAMME (PAP), have to find a way to Synergize efforts and work Collaboratively, with the Private Sector, to bring about the desired development of the NIGER-DELTA REGION.

He however decried the low or non – impact of different Development Plans and intervention Programmes, in the NIGER-DELTA, in the past , insisting therefore that the Current Recommendations should not be allowed to go same way, by not paying lip service and playing to the gallery, on issues relating to NIGER-DELTA AFFAIRS.
