The Traditional Ruler of Umuna Autonomous Community, HRM Eze Dr Douglas Okwara has stormed London to represent (Igbo Traditional Institution in the event.
The annual event which took place over the weekend had people from various continents, including Traditional Rulers in attendance.
Speaking during the event, Okwarachukwu who blessed the kola nuts however urged all and sundry to always respect and observe cultural heritage of their areas adding that such enhances unity,progress and brotherhood in Communities.
The Monarch who described as uncalled for the rate of untimely death in the Country however made it clear that some of such deaths if consciously traced are caused by abominable acts of persons pointing out that people who observe and respect traditions hardly die untimely.
Igwe Umuna who used the forum to commend Umuna people on their plans and preparations for the 2024 New yam Festival however used the forum to call on Umuna people in diaspora to participate actively in the event which would take place this September made it clear that this year’s festival would be unique.
