The Orlu Residents now live in high hopes that one of the most important but abandoned Roads, the old Owerri Orlu Road may be receiving Government attention soon.

Addressing the House at the said plenary, Ihezuo, a legal Practitioner of many years standing however described the Road as important adding that the said Road is not only a feeder Road but connects many Communities in the area.
According to Ihezuo, an American trained constitutional Lawyer, the deplorable state of the Road has not only affected vehicular movements but also affected distribution of farm produce from the rural Communities to the Cities adding that the Road in question starts from Y-junction/Owerre-Umudioka/Owerre-Ebiri/Umuna/Amaifeke/Nkwuito Junction.
While moving the motion, Ihezuo drew the attention of the legislature of the powers of Imo State House of Assembly as provided in the 1999 Constitution as amended where the House is empowered to make laws for the peace, order and good governance of Imo State.

In his prayers, he implored the support of his colleagues to urge the State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma to direct the Ministry of Works, Housing and Urban Development to as a matter of urgency, embark on thorough repairs, rehabilitation works on the failed portions of the road.
The second prayer was the resolution that the house committee on works be mandated to make an on the spot inspection of the failed portion of the road.
