Urum Kalu Eke has declined the offer for  membership of the Central Bank of Nigeria Board of Directors. stating that he is currently engaged in the World Bank.
 Recall that Tinubu on February 13, forwarded Urum’s name and that of four others for confirmation as members of the board for the CBN.  
However, during the confirmation of the nominees today, February 29, the former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji  Kalu, told the Senate that Urum had called him on the phone to reject the offer, staing that the offer would interfere with his job as a consultant with the World Bank.
The Senate notwithstanding confirmed the appointment of the other four members of the Board of Directors of the CBN forwarded to it by the President. 
The names of the four Directors confirmed by the senate are;  Robert Agbede, Ado Yakubu Wanka; Professor Murtala Sabo Sagagi and Mrs. Muslimat Olanike Aliyu.
