:Calls On Aggrieved To Abide By Party’s Decision.
Ahead of September 21 Councillorship election in Imo, the Traditional Ruler of Umuna Autonomous Community, HRM, Eze Dr Douglas Okwara has called for peace in Umuna and Uzoubi Umuna Autonomous Communities.
This is even as he urged the members of the APC in the Communities ,the winners and losers to abide by the Party’s Primaries in interest of peace and harmony.
The Monarch was reacting to utterances by the aggrieved members of the Party toward the outcome of their Primaries.
Speaking to Lead Express, Igwe Umuna who doubles as the Chairman, Isu Clan Council of Traditional Rulers in Orlu LGA however charged the Party members not to hit up the polity adding that those who did not win today can as well win tomorrow.
It would be recalled that the ruling Party in Imo had last Friday circulated the names of their Chairmanship and Councillorship Candidates on the forthcoming Local Government election.
This list however attracted varying degrees of reactions as some of the Aspirants had already concluded plans to challenge the outcome of the results.
Describing Imo and Orlu in particular as already prone to security challenges, the Monarch appealed to the aggrieved members of the Party to shun any act that may endanger the lives of the innocent indigenes of the Community.
Igwe further used the opportunity to commend the winner of the Primaries in Umuna, Donatus Okorie.
