Governor Hope Uzodimma has once again won the admiration of Imo citizens with his recent approval of an upward review in workers’ salaries. Among those who have publicly applauded the governor is Ambassador Tony Chidi Ahamefule, an APC stalwart and respected son of Nwangele Local Government Area.
Speaking to journalists, Ambassador Ahamefule commended the governor for what he described as a “visionary and compassionate step” aimed at uplifting the living standards of Imo workers. He noted that the decision reflects Uzodimma’s commitment to the welfare of the people, even in the face of national economic challenges.
According to Ahamefule, the minimum wage increment is not just about financial relief for civil servants but also a clear message that the present administration values hard work, fairness, and the dignity of labour. He stressed that the policy will go a long way in boosting morale and productivity across the state’s workforce.
The APC chieftain further remarked that Governor Uzodimma, popularly known as Onwa Oyoko, has consistently demonstrated people-oriented leadership by implementing policies that directly touch the lives of ordinary citizens. “This decision once again shows that he governs with empathy, foresight, and sincerity of purpose,” he said.
Ambassador Ahamefule also used the opportunity to call on the people of Nwangele and the entire Imo State to continue rallying behind the governor as he drives forward his transformation agenda. He maintained that unity and cooperation between the people and government remain essential in building a more prosperous Imo.
He emphasized that the Uzodimma-led administration has already laid a strong foundation for sustainable growth and development in the state. With improved workers’ welfare, infrastructural progress, and steady reforms in governance, he said Imo is on the right path to becoming a model for other states in Nigeria.
Concluding his remarks, Ambassador Ahamefule assured the governor of Nwangele’s unwavering loyalty and support, pledging to stand firmly with the administration in its quest to deliver good governance. He prayed for God’s continued guidance and wisdom for Governor Uzodimma as he leads Imo into greater heights of progress and prosperity.
