Amaifeke Clan Receives Mbarie in Grand Style

   The Executive Chairman, Orlu Local Government Area, Hon Pastor Chris Mbarie says he is working tirelessly to sustain peace in Orlu LGA.

   Hon Pastor Mbarie stated this in an interview with newsmen on the occasion of the civic reception organized in his honour as an illustrious and special son of Amaifeke by the entire Amaifeke clan  held at Premier Primary School , Amaifeke playground last Saturday after an interdenominational service.

   He recalled that when he assumed office formerly as the SOLAD of the Council, Orlu was a no go area, pointing out that on inception, he brought relative peace in the area which the people are enjoying now and expressed his determination to continue to do more so that the normalcy of the area will be sustained, and socioeconomic activities would thrive for the growth and development of the area.

   The LG boss also appealed to the people of Orlu LGA to sustain the peace which he has brought to the area and give their maximum support to the local administration and to the state government, led by the people-oriented governor, Sen Hope Uzodinma whose support and encouragement have resulted in the peaceful atmosphere which Orlu people in particular and Imo State in general are enjoying today.

   The former SOLAD recounted his numerous achievements in the area, revealing that in the course of his campaign leading to local government election, he made a firm promise that women will benefit immensely, and in the fulfilment of the promise, he embarked on empowerment of about 300 indigent women with the sum of eighty thousand naira each, stressing that currently ongoing, is a new Administrative Block of 9 offices and an Executive Chamber for the Vice Chairman, the Secretary of the Local Government, the supervisory councilors from the 13 INEC wards in December,2024 as a palliative measure to make the roads motorable during the festivities and also boost economic activities among many other achievements.

   Hon Pastor Mbarie appreciated the governor, Sen Hope Uzodinma who appointed him as SOLAD, according to him, “It was an opportunity that enabled me to showcase my administrative acumen, and the experience garnered within that period in all humility placed me a few steps ahead of my fellow contestants during the local government election, and finally culminated to my emergence as the executive chairman of Orlu Local Government Area”.

   In his remarks, the Chairman 

of the occasion, Prof Fab Ukozor (Ikenga Amaifeke) identified the event as a great occasion and marks a milestone in the community, pointing out that when there was insecurity in Orlu LGA, the governor made Hon Pastor Mbarie the SOLAD and he was able to quench it and brought peace and tranquility in the land.

   Prof Ukozor noted that the appointment of Hon  Pastor Mbarie as the Executive Chairman of Orlu LGA was ordained by God and expressed his belief that the Chairman is going to make Orlu great.

   He assured him that God is with him and he will conquer and meritoriously serve Orlu, appealing to Amaifeke people to support him.

   The reception ceremony was well attended by Amaifeke clan indigenes, Orlu LGA, people from all walks of life and dignitaries including executive chairmen from other LGAs, top government functionaries and appointees, as well as ex National Assembly members who one of them was the immediate past member representing Orlu/Oru/East/Orsu federal constituency, Rt Hon Jerry Alagbaoso.
