AU Honors Adedeji Asinowo With Diplomatic Ambassador

In recognition of his tireless effort to promoting peace, stability, and conflict resolution across the continent, African Union (AU) has honoured an Imo based detribalized Nigerian , Dr. Adedeji Osinowo with the esteemed “AU Diplomatic Ambassador”

The ceremony which took at the just Concluded African Union Agenda 2063 held at Nicon Luxury Hotel Abuja, on 14th December ,2024 and was attended by Government officials, Diplomats, and the representatives of other related Organizations.

The welcome address presented by the Head of Mission African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly, Amb. Stephen Gbatibi Ben-Joel noted that the achievements made so far was a collective journey towards achieving “The Africa we want”
According to him, tonight we gather to appraise the 11-year Journey of AU Agenda 2063 and chart the way forward.
The head of Mission described their role as a mission to evaluate and analyze progress in motivation of stakeholders, inspiring action and also serve as a diligent watchdogs to ensure that State actors, Ministries, Parastatals, Private Organizations and other stakeholders calling their budgets and activities with the aspiration of the agenda.

The event which served a dual purpose offered lecture and award presentation sessions.

The lecture series reflected on the strides made over the decade and identify strategies to move forward. while the second phase was a celebration of dedication, excellence, progress made by Organizations, Ministries, Parastatals and Assembly members and individuals who have worked tirelessly to advance the principles of Agenda 2063.

Among the prominent individuals honoured at the event was Chief. Adedeji Osinowo Temitope as an AU Diplomatic Ambassador, an Architect based in Owerri, Imo State.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Osinowo expressed gratitude for the honour as he reiterated his continued commitment to promoting peace, unity and togetherness for the good of the country, Nigeria and Africa in general.

Amb. Deji Oshinowo is the President of a non-governmental Organization otherwise known as Mass Mobilization against Hardship (MAMAH).

Deji who through his foundation put smiles on the faces of over 200 women and widows living in the Owerri Municipal by giving them palliatives to mark Nigeria’s 64th Independence celebrated on October 1, 2024.

This is one among his numerous humanitarian gestures to the vulnerable in the society.
His generosity cut across the Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa.
