Ballon d’Or 2024: Super Eagles Forward, Ademola Lookman Makes List as the Only African (See Full List)

Super Eagles forward and Atalanta star,  Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.
Being the only African in the full list of Ballon d’Or contenders this year, the 26-year-old Atalanta star scored 17 goals and made 11 assists for the club last season and was also pivotal in their winning the first-ever European title.
The Super Eagles star who was shortlisted alongside 29 other players around the world  gained global recognition after his heroics performance in the Europa League final where he scored a hat-trick as Atalanta defeated Bayer Leverkusen.
The award set to hold on 28 October at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, France had other notable nominees in the men’s category such as; Lautaro Martinez, Jude Bellingham, Lamin Yamel, Erling Haaland, and Bukayo Saka.
