Bayelsa governor, speaks on the news of his impregnating BBNaija Nengi

The governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, has reacted to the ongoing rumours of him being responsible for impregnating BBNaija’s Nengi Rebecca  Hampton, popularly known as Nenhi.
Denying the viral rumors that was widely circulated on social media on Monday that the reality star had recently welcomed a child for the governor, who allegedly has four wives already. 
Meanwhile, Nengi while responding to the speculations through her posts on X, said, “Let me be clear, I’m not pregnant for any governor.”
Reacting to the development, the Director-General of New Media to the governor, Dr. Samuel Kolawole Oredipe, in a Facebook post on Monday evening, tagged the news as false, noting that the reality star has no personal relationship with the governor.
This is even as he described the news as the work of the governor’s enemies attempting to distract from activities marking his 5th anniversary, Oredipe condemned the misuse of social media to propagate falsehoods.
“Political enemies of His Excellency Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, are at work again. What a wicked set of people spreading falsehood on a day the Prosperity Administration commenced activities marking its 5th anniversary.
“Nengi Rebecca Hampson has no personal relationship with the governor. Nengi has come out on social media to debunk the lies. This is a distraction, and some of us are very justified in the many reasons offered to regulate the use of various social media.”
