Ahead of September 21 Local Government election in Imo, the Deputy President General of Alaoma Owerre Ebeiri Autonomous Community, Chief Haginus Nnadika has called for adherence to the zoning arrangement.
This is even as he said that anything short of that may result in instability in the peaceful Community.
Speaking to our Orlu correspondent, the Nnadika revealed that Owerre-Ebeiri as an ancient autonomous Community has maintained zoning arrangement amongst the Villages that make up the two Autonomous Communities of Owerre-Ebeiri ancient Kingdom and Alaoma Autonomous Communities.
According to the President General, the 2024 Councillorship has been zoned to the Umuekepu Village in line with the zoning arrangement pointing out that the said Umuekepu Village in turn has chosen ,Hon Ohaechesi Henry as their sole Candidate having been the only Aspirant that indicated interest for the seat.
Nnadika while describing as uncalled for, the attitude of the Aspirants from other political parties towards the Umuekepu revealed that one of the natives of Umuekepu who wanted to run under the platform of APC was intimidated and fraustrated out of the race.
He however appealed to all and sundry to rally round Ohaechesi, the Owerre-Ebeiri Councillorship Candidate of the APGA and vote for him in the forthcoming election.
