The 3R government of Dist. Senator Hope Uzodinma is all about quality service delivery to imo people. And the appointment of Mr. Paschal Nwakanma Dumdum as the Senior Adviser to the governor on Land Recovery is one too many. Since the appointment in November 2023 many inroads have be recorded in recovering stolen public lands and the recorded giant strides have earned the 3R’s government of Dist.Senator Hope Uzodinma huge commendations from the public.
Charged with the immediate responsibility of recovering the lands allegedly stolen or grabbed by some government appointees and their cohorts, DumDum without fear or favour moved into action and recovered over four thousand acres of land. Among the lands recovered are the Mechanic Village Avu, Arugo land close to ITC, Amata/Uratta, Nekede and Ndegwu lands.
While others who handled such position in the past would resort to Gestapo’s approach and media stunts to go about the job, Mr. Nwakanma chooses to remain quiet and peaceful allowing his achievements recorded in shortest period of time to speak for him. Recovery of shared prosperity estates in Amata, Urata , Nekede, Onitsha road among others speaks volume of his excellent performance.
It will beat anyone’s imagination how the SA dowsed the ever brewing tension in communities like Avu Mechanic Village, Ndegwu, Owerri Nchise over their grabbed lands in a matter of weeks. Today every member of the community is happy with the government over the way DumDum has resolved the issues. Now and then they go to the pages of newspaper to commend the government of Senator Hope Uzodinma for appointing a messiah.
It may interest to know that the task of of land recovery which had always been one associated with hooliganism, thuggery, harassment and intimidation, has taken a new outlook since DumDum assumed office as SA on Land Recovery. DumDum has given it a new outlook. DumDum has employed every sense of due process and fair treatment to the the tasking job a human face. This has made majority of imolites to garner support for for hardly three months old office.
Though SA is not a superhuman who may live with ease above trappings associated with job,but with his pedigree and integrity he has been able to live overboard. Caesar’s wife might not be above suspicion but DumDum has handled the office with staring transparency that no room is left for suspicion. His simplicity in carrying out this responsibility, soft speaking
and refusal to do “backyard business” are another magics that are guiding him to recording success on the job..
His refusal to carry out the responsibility at the expense of fairness and justice has brought about renewed hope and confidence in land business in the state. And it will not be surprising to hear that investors are not coming into the state in their good numbers.
Recently he pleaded and maintained that imolites who genuinely applied for land allocation would be considered at the end the exercise as directed by His Excellency, Dist. Senator Hope Uzodinma and his effort at working with Nigerian Police Imo State Command in ensuring no imolite is molested on land matters presents DumDum as fighter of the less privileged.
Therefore as imolites are urged to continue to give him the needed support to deliver the goods in line with principles of government of shared prosperity of Senator Hope Uzodinma.
