The Senator representing Orlu Senatorial Zone at the National Assembly, Distinguished Senator Osita Izunaso, yesterday, March 13, led prominent stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress APC to bid farewell to Late Chief Sir. Simeon Duruoma (Mmiri), eulogizing the deseased for his contributions towards the party, state and humanity.
Senator Izunaso, while consoling the family of the deseased after his internment at Isiokpo Autonomous Community, Ideato North LGA, recounted how Late Chief Simeon Duruoma demonstrated uncommon love for others while alive by showing generosity with his possessions. He added that the deseased would be greatly missed by APC members among others who had positive and memorable encounters with him.
The Orlu senator who also stood in for Governor Hope Uzodimma, particularly emphasized the contributions of the deceased towards the growth of APC both in the zone and the state, recollecting how aspirants benefited immensely from his leadership, support and generosity during the last elections.
He stated that the large tour out of party supporters at the burial was indicative of how they cherished the deseased, assuring that the family he left behind would not be abandoned, but supported.
Many political heavyweights that were with Senator Osita Izunaso at the event included: the Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Physical Planning, Hon. Enyinna Onuegbu; the Executive Chairman of Ideato North LGA, Hon. Arc Chukwunonso Opkareke; the Member representing Ideato North State Constituency, Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ernest Okechukwu Udeze and the State Organizing Secretary of APC, Hon. Ikechukwu Umeh.
