Ahead of November 11th Governorship Polls in Imo, what can best be described as earthquake has become the bane in Imo State chapter of the PDP as serving House of Representative members of PDP extraction have concluded arrangements to dump the number one opposition party in the State, the PDP for the ruling Party.
This is even as Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma would today Monday April 24 receive them formally,Lead Express gathered.
A source from the Government House hinted Lead that aside the fact the said House of Representatives members have no hope in the PDP following the crisis beleaguering her, the APC Orlu Senatorial elect, Senator Osita Izunaso was said to have taken it upon himself to convert some of the said House members to the APC folk to facilitate the re election victory of Senator Hope Uzodinma,Lead authoritatively gathered.
Speaking to Lead Express, an APC Chieftain in Imo who would not want his name in Print revealed that the Imo State chapter of the APC has concluded arrangements to make Izunaso the leader of Uzodinma’s second term càmpaigns following his contributions in facilitating the convert the said Leaders to join the ruling APC adding that the Party would make it public as soon as possible.
Recall that Izunaso who has been lobbying to be made the Senate President in the 10th Senate had before now informed those that cared to Know why Uzodinma should be re elected which he anchored on his salient achievements and human oriented policies.
According to Izunaso, if Uzodinma is granted the second term, Imo would be restored to its former place in the comity of States.
However, in the views of political Analysts, the dumping of the PDP by the incumbent member representing Orlu,Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency, Jerry Alagbaoso, member representing Ngor-Okpala and Aboh Mbaise Federal Constituency, Bede Eke, member representing Owerri North, West and Owerri Municipal, Ikenna Elezianya is not just a blow to PDP but an added advantage to the ruling APC.
