As we commemorate the 2024 Easter celebration which honours the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after His death by Crucifixion, the Chairman, Southern Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Barr. Oluchukwu Ijere Nnabugwu has called on Christians all over the world to remain steadfast in prayers, love, hope and faith to the services of God.
This is even as he reiterated God’s undying love for humanity especially the Nigerian Christians as we hope for a renewed country where insecurity, gruesome killings and religious crisis will be expunged.
Speaking during his Easter message, Barr. Nnabugwu who is also the Convener of Imo Christian Youth Peace Initiative, ICYPI, stressed that the annual celebration which marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday is the cornerstone of the Christian faith, signifying the fulfillment of God’s plan for redemption.
“Easter Sunday serves as a profound reminder of the transformative power of faith and the enduring message of hope that resonates throughout the ages. It is a day of immense joy and hope, as Christians celebrate the victory of light over darkness, life over death, and the triumph of God’s love for humanity”, he noted.
The Christian Youth Boss further urged faithful in the country to remain prayerful, believing that Jesus Christ who has resurrected from death will restore peace in the country and continue to sustain us in this bad economy situation that has increased hungry and immense poverty in the land.
He therefore charged Government at an levels to ensure that the interest of the masses are their priorities and as such, make policies that will help alleviate poverty, create employment for the teeming youths and stabilize the economy. While calling on Nigerian Youths to remain hardworking and desist from kidnapping, arm robbery, internet fraud and other evil vices.
