It was encomium galore as United States based Amb. Chika Uju celebrated her 59th birthday in Owerri on Monday.
The event was witnessed by friends, relatives colleagues of the celebrant and well-wishers.
Speaker after speaker poured encomiums on the celebrant, disclosing her unique qualities and character.
A former Imo State chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Imo State council, Chief Innocent Igwe described the celebrant as dedicated journalist, a caring woman with fear of God.
Another speaker, Chika Ewurum of Radio Nigeria praised her for being caring, courageous and committed to the cause of justice, while Barr. Vivian Otti re echoed her virtues of steadfast commitment to fight for justice and deep inclination to philantropy.
President of Interstate Journalists for Democracy and Development, Mr Emmanuel Chukwu eulogized the celebrant for her generous character and praised God for her devotion to compassionate causes.
A traditional ruler in the state, His Royal Highness, Eze Oliver Ohanwe also commended the celebrant for her commitment to the journalism profession.
The event also drew the presence of Venerable Innocent Osuoha among other distinguished guests, among who were the publisher of Eastern Lead Express, Chief Declan Anaele, Chief Evarest Ezihe and Editor of Announcer Express, Mr Emma Madumere as well as Editor of Nigerian Horn, Mr Edison Okereke and other media gurus.
