Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has set aside N1.95 billion to buy Cars for the members of State House of Assemble.
This is contained in the 2024 Budget which the Governor has signed into law after approval by the State House of Assemble.
The Cars as gathered by this paper are SUVs – Toyota Prado.
The total amount termed 2024 appropriation bill of N521.5 billion.
The budget comprises N414.3 billion earmarked for capital expenditure which represents 79 percent of the N521.5 billion, and N107.2 billion recurrent expenditure,
which is 21 percent of the estimate.
Addressing g Press after the signing the budget into law,Mbah said that the budget would “drive disruptive economic growth, radical infrastructural development, and efficient service delivery”.
“ adding that What this budget means to the people of Enugu is that we are going to be spending over N400bn on capital projects in the next year,” the governor had said.
