Dealers of building materials in Owerri Building Materials Market Naze have again cried to Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma to come to their aid, by tackling the ongoing erosion menace which has for long time troubled both the sellers as well as the buyers of goods in the popular market.
This is even as they reminded the Governor of his promise to fix the said road in this dry season.
Media were awash few months ago with the bad state of the Roads leading to the the Naze Market which according to reports had affected the revenue of the Market as buyers now prefer going to Onicha in Anambra State and Aba in Abia State to buy building materials instead of the popular Naze Market.
Aside the revenue affected, series of accidents were said to have been happening as “Okada” was said to be the only means of entering the Market.
Speaking to Lead Express, one of the dealers who gave his name as Chief Canice Okolie appealed to the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma to as a matter of urgency fix the said Roads leading to the Market so as to put to an end the emotional trauma the users go through during dry season.
The speaker who revealed that Uzodinma led administration had before now promised to fix the Roads during the dry season added that the expected dry season has come.
