His Royal Highness, Eze Kingsley Ajoku, Ola 11 of Oforola Autonomous Community, Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, in a clear demonstration of the biblical injunction that says “follow peace with all men” has replaced the Chieftaincy title of Ugochinyere 1 of Oforola coffered on Chief Anthony Amadi with Ugwu Chinyere 1 of Oforola in order please those who were displeased with the title.
Speaking during a press conference in Owerri, the monarch explained that his action was motivated by his determination to see a peaceful and harmonious Oforola community.
It could be recalled that the sons of Late Chief Blessing Eberechukwu Ewelike, requested for the replacement of the Chieftaincy title with reasons that their late father held the same title before his demise. to avoid issues that will breed tension and disunity, after wide considerations and consultations, the Monarch known for his high level of tolerance, peaceful disposition, respect for all irrespective of status and financial capacity, decided to oblige their request in line with his lifestyle of promoting peace .
The Traditional Ruler made it clear that he is committed to servant leadership with exemplary humility and simplicity, saying; he replaced the tilte of Ugochinyere 1 of Oforola on Chief Anthony Amadi with Ugwu Chinyere 1 of Oforola, to respect the expressions of the sons of Late Chief Blessing Eberechukwu Ewelike, whose late Father held the title of Ugochinyere 1 of Oforola.
The Ola 11 of Oforola who expressed deep concern over perceived combative and disrespectful statement capable to generate tension in the community appealed to any aggrieved persons to sheath their sword in the interest of peace and progress of Oforola, stating that Oforola where brotherly love raigns supreme should be paramount and non negotiable.
Stating that home has always remained the best, he said “Oforola is our country home, we have no other place we can call our country home, we should do our best to promote peace in the community no matter the level of animosity.
Leadership at all levels, be it in the traditional circle, religious , political, academic, economic or any other circle is about simplicity, tolerance,. carrying everybody along, humility, and above all huge sacrifice for peace.
The monarch who made a patriotic move to please those who felt displeased, further expressed strong belief that life is all about positive adjustment for positive advancement
Ola 11 of Oforola who observed that positivity is the best way of life, urged all well meaning sons and daughters of Oforola to join hands in building a peaceful Oforola Community for the betterment of all.
