: Describes Cases As Distraction
A chieftain of the APC in Imo,Hon Uju Okoro has finally written to the major contenders in the November 11 Governorship election in Imo to withdraw their pending suits against Uzodinma in Court.
The said letters followed a call by Okoro few days ago to the Guber Candidates to withdraw their cases against Uzodinma in interest and general well-being of Imo people which the people concerned are yet to heed to as at the time of filing this report.
In a Letter dated February 5th 2024 with a title” urgent call and appeal to withdraw all pending suits against Uzodinma” Uju Okoro,a former Local Government Chairman of Isu x-rayed the implications of holding Uzodinma in Court after his victory as declared by INEC.
In a Twelve paragraph Letter signed by Okoro himself and made available to Lead Express, he maintained that in as much as the Guber Candidates have absolute rights to challenge the outcome of the election in Court as they have done already but given the state of Nigerian dwindling economy,Imo State Inclusive, Uzodinma should be allowed to finish his second term so as to give Imo his best in the area of good governance adding that any state that wants to succeed now should support and crave for good Government.
In the said Letters, Okoro urged politicians to always ascertain when to play politics as well as when to focus and support for a good and People oriented Government and policies adding there must be a time for everything.
According to Okoro, Governor Uzodinma may not be perfect as a human but having shown enough commitment in given Imo the much needed but eluded good governance.
