Orlu APC ward chairmen, executives, and stakeholders have gathered in solidarity to reaffirm their support for the visionary governance of Imo State under the leadership of Governor Hope Uzodinma.
The event which was a revival of renewed hope, showcased the positive impacts of the administration’s policies on the Orlu zone.
Hon. Godson Dibe, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Empowerment, while addressing the APC stakeholders, emphasized that Orlu communities have every reason to be grateful for the developmental strides of Governor Uzodinma. He noted that the governor has significantly elevated the socio-cultural, economic, and political status of Orlu as a leader of the APC.
According to Dibe, the administration’s 3R (Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Recovery) mantra has placed Orlu on a strategic pedestal. “Since the creation of Imo State, no governor has given Orlu a more significant infrastructural facelift than Senator Hope Uzodinma,” he stated. He further noted that opposition forces in the three senatorial zones have collapsed due to the governor’s strong leadership.
“Onwa, as governor, brought the Imo State Government House annex to Eziachi in recognition of the economic and political enterprise of Orlu communities. The once-dreaded Mgbe-Ideato/Akokwa route is no longer a nightmare. Today, Kingsley Ozurumba Mbadiwe University is well-linked, and the Akokwa-Anambra axis stands as one of the many infrastructural legacies of the People’s Governor,” Dibe added.
He commended Governor Uzodinma for recognizing and empowering numerous Orlu sons and daughters. “It is, therefore, incumbent upon Orlu to remain steadfast in supporting and being loyal to the policies and programs of our distinguished senator,” he stated. Dibe also lauded the leadership qualities of key APC stakeholders, including Orlu APC apex leader Chief Mrs. Ifeoma Ndukwu, Hon. Chief Stanley Nwosu (Jagaban), Orlu APC Chairman, House of Representatives member Hon. Canice Moore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu (Omeogo), Hon. Barr. Ikenna Ihezue, and Orlu Local Government Chairman, Hon. Pastor Chris Mbarie.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Pastor Chris Mbarie declared that Orlu is firmly in APC’s grip, with the people expressing satisfaction under Governor Uzodinma’s leadership in Imo State and the South East. He outlined his achievements as Orlu Council Chairman, affirming his unwavering belief in the Shared Prosperity agenda of the Uzodinma-led administration.
Similarly, Hon. Chief Obinna Onyeocha, Imo State Commissioner for Sports, and Chief Mrs. Ifeoma Ndukwu, Orlu APC apex leader, aligned with the governor’s numerous developmental engagements, affirming that Orlu communities appreciate his contributions.
Responding to concerns about the recent exit of some APC executive members, Chief Mrs. Ndukwu dismissed any negative impact on the party. “Their departure is a blessing—it helps separate the wheat from the chaff,” she stated confidently, adding that the forthcoming APC zonal rally is poised for success.
The gathering ended on a note of unity, with stakeholders reaffirming their commitment to sustaining the APC’s stronghold in Orlu and beyond.
