The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, through its State Executive Committee, has expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma, for what it describes as his visionary, inclusive, and transformative leadership.
In a message signed by Chief Celestine Amebube, State Assistant Publicity Secretary of the APC, the party lauded Governor Uzodimma’s unwavering commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, and the consolidation of the party’s strength across all tiers.
According to the statement, the leadership of the APC in Imo, under the guidance of its State Chairman, Hon. Dr. MacDonald Ebere, Ph.D., acknowledges the remarkable progress recorded in the state under the Uzodimma administration. The party noted that the governor has distinguished himself through pragmatic governance anchored on his “Shared Prosperity” vision, which, they said, has translated into tangible benefits for the people of Imo State.
The statement highlighted key infrastructural milestones achieved under the current administration, including the reconstruction and expansion of critical roads such as the Owerri-Orlu Road, Owerri-Okigwe Road, and the dualization of the Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia Road, which have significantly enhanced connectivity and economic activity across the state.
Beyond infrastructure, the APC commended the governor’s achievements in education, healthcare, security, and youth empowerment. It noted the renovation of schools, revitalization of hospitals, procurement of modern medical equipment, and the operationalization of the Imo Health Insurance Scheme as key indicators of Governor Uzodimma’s people-centered approach.
On security, the party praised the governor for his decisive interventions in restoring peace and stability, citing enhanced collaboration with security agencies and the establishment of strategic task forces as evidence of effective governance during challenging times.
The party also applauded Governor Uzodimma’s youth and women empowerment initiatives, particularly the One Youth, One Skill programme, which has equipped thousands of young people with vocational skills and startup support. The administration’s commitment to promoting women’s participation in governance and entrepreneurship was also recognized.
Describing the APC’s electoral successes under Governor Uzodimma’s leadership as unprecedented, the statement cited victories in the State, National Assembly, and Local Government elections as testament to the governor’s grassroots appeal and political acumen. It credited the cohesion and effectiveness of the party to the inclusive and consultative style adopted by the governor, which has strengthened party structures across all levels.
The Imo APC further praised the launch of the Imo 10-Year Development Plan, noting that the initiative reflects long-term thinking and a commitment to sustainable development. It also highlighted reforms in public financial management, digital revenue systems, and anti-corruption efforts as steps that are attracting national and international commendation.
“The APC in Imo State is proud to be associated with your results-oriented leadership. You have remained resolute in the face of distractions and criticisms, and have delivered a governance model that prioritizes transparency, equity, and progress,” the statement read.
Reiterating its support for the governor, the APC pledged continued collaboration with his administration to ensure the success and sustainability of the Shared Prosperity agenda.
“We assure Your Excellency of our unwavering loyalty and commitment. We will continue to mobilize, engage, and defend the legacy of your administration because it is a legacy built on truth, service, and results.”
The statement concluded with prayers for continued strength, wisdom, and divine guidance for the governor as he leads Imo State toward greater prosperity.
