The operatives of Orlu Division, on 12th August, 2025, apprehended one Ifeanyi Odinka for killing own Father over a Land proceed.
The suspect identified by police to be about 39 yr-old (39) hails from Amaifeke Orlu, and had stabbed his father, Denius Odinka 75 years, to death following a dispute over proceeds from a land sale.
During interrogation, the suspect who pleaded for mercy, saying it was handwork of the devil confessed to the crime.
However, the police spokesperson, DSP. Henry Okeye, disclosed that the murder suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Owerri for further investigation and prosecution.
This is even as he further reiterated the Command’s unwavering commitment to combating crimes and ensuring the safety of all residents.
