The residents of Bimasa town in Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State have demonstrated brave and extraordinary courage in confronting armed bandits to rescued abducted community members.
According to reports, the residents had pursued the bandits into their forest hideouts and engaged them directly in a daring operation that resulted in the death of most of the bandits.
As a result, the community during the raid was able to neutralized some of the attackers. and successfully rescued those who had been taken hostage by the bandits.
In a remarkable show of victory, one leg of a bandit was brought back to the community as trophy by the residents.
However, the residents are calling on authorities to reinforce the community with maximum security due to the fear of reprisal attack by the bandits.
