It was a thing of joy as Barr. Prada Uzodimma, daughter of Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, played host to a series of Courtesy Calls by key Student, Youth and Advocacy Groups in recognition of her growing impact in the areas of education, social development and disability inclusion.
Among these groups she cheerfully received were the Albinism Association of Nigeria, Imo State Chapter, led by its President, Hon. Victor Igbebulem.
Igbebulem expressed deep appreciation for the Albinism Awareness Program organised the previous year under Prada Uzodimma’s foundation, The Ability Life Initiative.
Indeed, the outreach had provided education on albinism and distributed Sun Protection Creams, Protective Gear and other support materials to persons living with albinism.
In honour of her efforts, the group presented her with an Award of Recognition, applauding her commitment to dignity, inclusion and advocacy for the marginalized communities.
The Nigerian Youth Parliament, Imo State Chapter, also visited the chivalric solicitor with Emmanuel Okorie, the member representing Imo West Senatorial District, leading them.
The delegation praised Uzodimma’s consistent contributions to youth development and nation-building.
Thus, discussions during the visit focused on future engagements and sustained collaboration in areas that affect young people across the state.
With the representatives of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Zone F, South East, led by its Secretary General, Comr. Alfred Jacinta, paying tribute to Barr. Prada Uzodimma for her continued support for student’s empowerment.
Jacinta highlighted her work through the Prada Uzodimma Imo Indigenes Scholarship Grant, which she said has offered scholarships to indigent students at Imo State University, even as NANS presented her with a gift in appreciation of her goodness and love to humanity.
Prada Uzodimma, in turn, pledged her support for the association’s future initiatives.
Equally, members of Divine Chambers paid her a homage visit.
The Law Students’ Association of Imo State University Owerri was led on the visit by its Lord Chancellor, Lorretta Nwosu.
As Patron of the association, Barr. Prada Uzodimma welcomed the leadership, who expressed gratitude for her mentorship and interest in students’ affairs.
The visit featured discussions around the chamber’s upcoming essay competition and welfare projects for law students with Prada Uzodimma pledging continued support and affirmed her desire to attend the group’s next general meeting.
These visits were a clear reflection of Barr. Prada Uzodimma’s rising profile and her growing connection with young people and advocacy groups across the state.
As more communities continue to recognize her efforts in education and social impact, she is steadily carving out a space for herself as a genuine force for inclusive progress in Imo State and the nation at large.
