Hunger: jubilation in Orlu as Amajiri introduces plantain plantation, donates tractors, revives abandoned stream

Jubilation galore in Amike Autonomous Community in Orlu LGA as a philanthropist of note,Prince Ifeanyi Amajiri has concluded arrangements to introduce plantain plantation in Amike.
This is even as he revived the abandoned ‘Iyiakpaka ” Stream which will supply water to crops in the farm.
Our reporter who went round the acres of Land mapped out for the plantain plantation, pineapples plantation as well as vegetables revealed that the people of Amike particularly the youths were jubilating and asking God to keep and protect the donor who they described as God- sent to the Community.
The youths who recounted some of the benevolence of the 35 year old philanthropist to include introduction of free skill acquisition centres in the Community, creation of jobs through monthly clean up of the entire Community where widows are engaged with monthly payments, free childcare and child delivery amongst others.
Responding to the questions on reasons behind the plantain plantation in the area, the business mogul made it clear that the rate of hunger and joblessness amongst the people, particularly the youths formed his decision and opinion to embark on mechanised agriculture adding that aside provision of Tractors which would do the hectic part of the jobs, that the popular Afor Amike Market would be revived to meet the standard of modern Markets for the purpose exporting some of the farm produce.
According to Prince Amajiri, that he and his team mainly the youths foremost cleared the acres and revamped the abandoned popular Stream of the Community known as “Iyiakpaka ” to serve as irrigation to the crops which include Ten thousand plantain seedlings, pineapples, vegetables which include cucumber amongst others for a start adding that Tractors which would be doing most of the jobs are already in place.
The Philanthropist who used the forum to appeal to the youths of Amike and Orlu in general to remain peaceful despite the difficulties in the nation made it clear that hard times never last but patient people do.
He further on the importance of people, acquring skills adding that the days of white collar jobs are gone not only in Nigeria but the whole World.
