:As Orlu PDP Accuses Him Of Aiding Onyeriri’s Removal By S/C
: Judgment May Affect Atiku’s Performance.

The immediate former Governor of ImoState, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha appears to be suffering same Fate with the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma who was accused by the PDP members of masterminding the January 14 Supreme Court judgment which hitherto saw to the removal of Ihedioha as the then Governor of Imo State.

This follows the accusation by the PDP members in Orlu that the said Ihedioha was behind the removal of the PDP candidate for Imo West Senatorial election, Rt Hon Jones Onyeriri few days ago by the apex Court.

In a release by the party members, they however vowed not to support Ihedioha in his bid to contest for Imo Governor having allegedly aided the removal of the said Onyeriri.

The Nigeria Supreme Court had over the weekend, announced the removal of Jones Onyeriri as the party’s candidate in the forthcoming election on the grounds that the primaries that gave birth to his candidature was conducted in Owerri as against the Orlu Headquarters.

Recall that Governor Uzodinma has faced series of criticisms by the Imo State chapter of the PDP, emanating from the judgement of the Supreme Court which removed Ihedioha from the seat on the grounds that he did not meet the constitutional requirements to be declared Governor by INEC in the 2019 Imo Governorship election.

As at the time of filing this report, the Imo State chapter of the PDP has continuously accused the Governor of aiding the said removal of Ihedioha by the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, political Analysts are of the view that the removal of the PDP candidate for Orlu senate polls without a replacement may affect the performance of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku’ Abubaka in the next election hence the elections of the National and that of the president are done same time and same place.
