Lawyer Calls On Igbo Leaders To Rise Up.


Tomorrow, November 20th has been set aside as a day by which Court through Justice Omotosho would give judgement on the treasonable charge against the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Nnamdi Kanu has been in the Custody of the DSS since three years after he was captured from Kenya.
Justice Omotosho had at the last adjourned date fixed judgement tomorrow after Kanu rejected all his pressure to open his defense.
Nnamdi Kanu had at various Court sittings refused to open his defence on the grounds that he had no case to answer.
He further challenged the Judge to show him the written law under which his trial based on.
According to Kanu who has been defending himself after discharging his lawyers accused the Judge of trying him with a repealed law hence he would not open defence.
However, many Nigerians at home and in diaspora have called on President Tinubu to seek political solution to discharge the said Kanu so as to bring peace in the entire South East.
Many lawyers have described the continued detention of Kanu as injustice not only to Kanu but the entire Igbo Race.
Kanu had few days ago petitioned the Supreme Court, challenging the Justice Omotosho to show him the law under which he is prosecuting him or recurse himself from the trial
Meanwhile, the Special Counsel to Kanu,Barr Aloy Ejimakor has called on Igbo leaders to rise up on solidarity for Kanu, stressing that Kanu has no case to answer.
Ejimakor who made this call few days ago however challenged the Judge to cite any written law which he is trying Kanu.
