Jubilation in Umuihioma as Onyemaechi Commissions Solar-Powered Borehole Attracted to Community.

Sunday 29th June, 2025 was a day to behold for the people of Umuihuoma, Umuogide in Ulaukwu Oforola Community, Owerri West, Imo State as the Member representing the Constituency at Imo State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Kanayo Onyemaechi Commissioned a Solar-Powered Bore Hole attracted to his people.
According to the Majority Leader, Imo State House of Assembly, the Anambra Imo River Basin Development Authority (AIRBDA) Borehole Project for my Community is in fulfillment of the Renewed Hope of Mr. President and Shared Prosperity vision of Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Executive Governor of Imo State.
Onyemaechi while Commissioning the Project said: “Today is a memorable day for me and my people. Before I became a lawmaker six years ago, this is my home. Attracting this project through the Shared Prosperity drive of our Governor, using AIRBDA, is a way of giving back to my people. I pray that this water will be a source of life and blessings to every resident of Umuihuoma Umuogide and the entire Olaukwu community.”
“Access to clean and safe drinking water is fundamental to health and well-being of the people”.

Hon. Okechukwu Ernest Udeze, popularly known as “Okey is Okay” member representing Ideato North State Constituency in the State House of Assembly and House Committee Chairman, Local Government, Chieftaincy and Autonomous Communities applauded his colleague for such philanthropic gestures. He called for the Support of the Lawmaker, saying that encouragement inspires more projects

HRH Eze Apolloh H. Ekeocha, the Traditional Ruler of Olaukwu Autonomous Community, expressed thanks to their son for attracting such project to the Community. This is just as he described the project as a relief to the people at the grassroots. He prayed God to continue to bless their son.
Clergies at the event included Rev. Dr. Sam Ajare, of the Bible Missionary Church, Oforola/Owerri, and Ordinand Levy Ejiofor, of Emmanuel Anglican Church, Olaukwu/Oforola.
Others present were some stakeholders, community leaders, and residents.
