The controversial Islamic cleric, Ahmad Gumi, has been invited by the Federal Government of Nigeria for questioning.

Recall that Gumi recently  has been given different updates regarding  the activities of bandits in the country,  this is even as he urged Tinubu not to repeat what he described as the ‘mistake’ made by former President Muhammadu Buhari, who refused to dialogue with bandits.

Also recall  that Gumi had urged the Tinubu-led government to join him in negotiating with the bandits, adding also  that terrorism in Nigeria was not financed by Nigerians but by the terrorists who kidnap people for ransom.

The minister of Information and Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on Monday while addressing journalists at the State House, Abuja, stated it clearly that “no one is above the law”, adding that the government has deemed it necessary to invite Gumi for questioning.
