Five hundred Thousand naira grant given to the 2023 Law Students of Imo State University by the State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma to offset their law school fees has re echoed as Imo Indigenes from other Schools have not stopped to agitate, appealing to the Governor to extend hands of fellowship to other Imo Indigenes who graduated from other Universities in Nigeria.
Governor Uzodinma had towards the end of the year 2023, issued cheque of five hundred Thousand naira to each of the law Graduates of Imo State University as law school fees.
This singular gesture of the Governor was however applauded by Imo people across Nigeria , particularly the beneficiary students.
Reacting to the gesture, the Imo State Indigenes presently in Portharcourt law school Campus have appealed to the Governor to extend the gesture to other Imo Indigenes pointing out that the Governor is the Father of all Imo people as well as the students and not to only Imo State Students.
In a letter stumbled into by Lead as signed by Njoku Chinaemeze Emmanuel and Ikwuegbu Benedicta Ngozi on behalf of the Portharcourt Law School Students however appealed to the Governor to include other students in the largesse.
