:Insists on No Imposition.
Ahead of September 21 Local Government polls in Imo, the Mbieri Stakeholders have rejected the anointed and preferred candidate of Prince Marcelinus Nlemigbo.
This is even as they insisted on a full blown primaries amongst the Aspirants.
Our reporter who monitored the Meeting of Mbieri Stakeholders held over the weekend in Owerri revealed that the Stakeholders condemned in its entirety, the alleged plot by the apex leader,Nlemigbo to impose on the people, his Loyalist to be the next Chairman of the Local Government.
They however resolved to send a Letter to the said Nlemigbo to appear in their next stakeholders meeting and as well, desist from the alleged imposition of face the consequences of being removed as the leader in the area.
It would be recalled that few days ago, a group under the appellation of Concerned APC Progressives called on the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma to remove Nlemigbo as the apex leader in the area, accusing him of leadership failure.
The group disclosed this through their Convener, Edward Uba attributed the purchase of Nomination and Expression of Interest forms by Seventeen Aspirants in Twelve Wards to Nlemigbo’s leadership deficiency.
