Late Nnaoma Sebastian M. Egbuogu, who hailed from Okohia Isiekenesi, Ideato South Local Government Area, Imo State, has been laid to rest in his ancestral home.
His funeral took place on 7th day of March, 2024. People from all walks of life including relatives, friend, well wishers and in-laws mourned his demise.
Speaking to journalists and Ikemefuna Media Blog after internment, first son of the deceased, Engr. Athanasius Egbuogu, said his father was a man of staggering personality whose influence in his family, kindred and community stood him out. “He was a pillar in the formation and pioneering of so many organizations and groups both in his community and his local church. He was a typical example of goodness because he impacted lives. In fact, he was evidential in the testament of people”.
Promising that he would coordinate the family to maintain the legacy of their father, the first son stated that he learnt a lot from his father, who he described as peaceful, caring, godly, humble, a great teacher, a good adviser, a mentor, man of great wisdom, values and a devout Catholic.
“Shakespeare once said: All the world is a stage and all men and women merely players”, he added. He thanked all who came to mourn with them and prayed that God fortifies them, as well as grant his late father eternal rest in His Bosom.
Late Nnaoma Sebastian M. Egbuogu was married to Ezinne Livina Egbuogu. The union produced nine healthy, reasonable and God- fearing children who are doing greatly.
