: Decry 5 Months Abandonment.
Investors have heaved a sigh of relief as Uzodinma took over the Ministry of Lands as Commissioner with hopes that the area would become lively again.
This is even as they decried abandonment of the said Ministry since Five Months ago given the alleged Land grabbing which hitherto led to sack of certain Appointees of the Governor in the last administration.
Governor Uzodinma had last week announced himself as the Commissioner for Lands in Imo State, an appointment which attracted varying reactions across the State.
While some were of the views that Uzodinma’s self-appointment as Lands Commissioner was a welcome development in that it will offer the Governor the opportunity of sanitizing the area Others were of the views that such appointment would not encourage speed of development in the State as Governor would have little or no time to attend to issues emanating therefore given his tight schedules as Governor.
Speaking to Lead Express,an Investor who would not want his name in Print revealed that with Uzodinma being in charge of the Ministry,the place would be sanitized and where that happens, the confidence of investors in investing in Imo is restored.
However, investigation carried out by Lead revealed that the Lands Ministry has been in comatose since Five Months ago, the last Commissioner , Atulegwuwas sacked over allegations of Land fraud.
Lead further gathered that Land search, registration amongst Others had stopped since Five Months and that however has affected the revenue of Imo.
