:Reels out Potentials
:Terms Uzodinma A Nationalist.
In line with the adage that “nature abhors vacuum” a retired banker cum politician, Chief Mike Nwachukwu has called on all and sundry, particularly the Igbo leaders to look in the direction of Dr.Batos Nwadike to replace the late Ahaejiagamba, late Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu as the President Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo.
This is even as he described the said Nwadike as a better option to march the big shoes Iwuanyanwu’ has left.
In a release signed by Nwachukwu himself and made available to Lead, Nwachukwu a Senatorial Candidate of APGA revealed that with the experience and exposure at the disposal of Batos Nwadike’, he would move the Organization to an enviable heights if given the opportunity.
In the said release, Nwachukwu admonished the Igbo race to always give our best the opportunities of leading while describing Uzodinma as a true Nationalist.
In his words, “Dr. Batos Nwadike who was born in Nwangele, Imo State, has been a staunch advocate for Igbo issues for decades. Founder of the pan-Igbo organization Ozuruigbo, he has consistently championed the Igbo cause and organized numerous events aimed at promoting Igbo interests. His platform has supported several political figures, including Imo State Governor , Senator Hope Uzodinma, who gave a notable lecture on Igbo leadership at Ozuruigbo’s 2016 event”.
“Nwadike’s political career spans more than 30 years. He previously ran for Senate, served as the Political Adviser to the Imo State Governor, and, in 2011, was the Presidential Candidate for the People’s Mandate Party (PMP). Nwachukwu praised Nwadike’s integrity, citing his resignation from his advisory role when faced with ethical conflicts,” he reiterated.
Nwachukwu argued that Dr. Nwadike’s vision aligns with the core values of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. Known for his advocacy of inclusive governance and transparency, Nwadike’s leadership, according to Nwachukwu, would bridge the generational gap within Igbo communities and foster unity among the youth and elders.
“Dr. Nwadike’s extensive educational and professional background includes a degree in History from the University of Jos and decades in teaching, publishing, and advocacy. A passionate author, he has written multiple books and received numerous chieftaincy titles across Igboland”.
Nwachukwu also highlighted Governor Uzodinma’s role as a nationalist and a pivotal figure in Igbo politics. He recounted Uzodinma’s 2016 lecture, which emphasized strategic alliances for achieving an Igbo presidency, calling it a significant milestone in Uzodinma’s career and in the Igbo quest for national representation..
As Ndigbo prepare for the upcoming transition, Nwachukwu’s endorsement of Nwadike signals the potential for a leader who can honor Iwuanyanwu’s legacy and drive the organization forward.
“The cap fits him,” Nwachukwu concluded, emphasizing his belief that Dr. Batos Chikezie Nwadike is ready to lead Ohanaeze Ndigbo into a new era.
