An illustrious son of Abiaziem autonomous community in Oguta Local Government Area, Sir Kingsley Ugochukwu Okoroafor has been conferred with a chieftaincy title of Nnukwu Ihe 1 of Oguta by the traditional ruler of Umuofor autonomous community, Eze Fatai Emetuma.
In an interview with newsmen shortly after receiving the title which took place at the palace of the traditional ruler last Saturday, Chief Sir Okoroafor noted that the title was given to him in recognition of his numerous positive contributions towards human and community development.
He maintained that he has assisted his community and Oguta in general in the areas of roads construction and rehabilitation, infrastructural development and human capital development, pointing out that he also installed security lights in his community to beef up security in the area.
The renowned Lagos-based businessman and philantropist expressed delight that he was honoured by the royal father, stressing that the title would spur him for harder work and more contributions towards human and societal development in Oguta, as he said “I will assist for greater impact and more development in Oguta”
He reminded youths that an idlle mind is the devil’s workshop and advised them to wake up from their slumber, find something doing to be useful to themselves and society at large, shun crime and anti-societal behaviours that might mar their future like kidnapping, armed robbery, drug abuse and rape among others.
Commenting on the present administration in the state, Chief Okoroafor revealed that the government is trying and enjoined the people of the state to stop criticizing the government.
In her remarks, the wife of Chief Sir Okoroafor, Lady Lolo Chidinma Kingsley who hails from Orlu and married to Abiaziem Oguta, said she felt so good to be known as Lolo Nnukwu Ihe Oguta and advised women to be role models.
