Umuowa Autonom toous Community in Orlu LGA has described as uncalled for and Inciting, the publication of the purported suspension of their Monarch,HRH,Eze MC Duruigbo.
The Community has also revealed that no amount of blackmail would dissuade them from recognising and respecting their Traditional Ruler.
In a release signed by the Traditional Prime Minister of the Community, Pharmacist Emma Ebere and the Palace Secretary of the Community, Ichie LawrenceThe Ekwebelem and made available to Lead, the Community called on the general public to ignore the said publication which according to them was sponsored by dissident group.
“The attentiofn of Umuowa council of chiefs, cabinet members and the town union has been drawn to inciting radio and newspaper announcements and publications about our amiable traditional ruler – EZE M.C. DURUIGBO (Igbonenye de 4th of Umuowa autonomous community) over a said misconduct and suspension.
We want to let the public know that Ezeship in Umuowa is not rotatory but of ancestral inheritance and hence, canevebe movedor suspended.
The sponsors of the said inciting announcements and publications are a group of unrecognized people who claim to be Ishiowa Autonomous community .
We wish to let the public know that no autonomous community has been carved out of Umuowa and besides, such people cannot be acting or speaking for Umuowa autonomous community.
We are in peace with our Eze and hereby urge the public to disregard the said announcements and publications” the release reads.
