The Majority Leader of Imo State House of Assembly Rt Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi has received with happiness, the new Provost of Federal College of Land Resources Technology Owerri ( FECOLART), Dr Ebere Bede Onwuajiriri.
This is even as he described his appointment as timing.
Chief Kanayo bared his mind when he alongside other stakeholders of the College were on ground to receive the new Provost, Dr. Onwuajiriri at the College Campus, Olaukwu – Oforola in Owerri West Local Government Area.
Chief Onyemaechi who is also an indigene of Olaukwu Autonomous Community in Owerri West Local Government Area being the host Community to the College stated that the appointment of Dr. Ebere Bede Onwuajiriri could not have come at a better time than now that stakeholders of the College were yearning for an indigenous Provost as it is the case in other States where such College is situated.
He further emphasized that he has confidence on the ability of the new Provost of FECOLART to drive the College to enviable heights through academic excellence, ensuring harmonious relationships between the College and the host Community as well promoting human resources development amongst others.
The Imo House of Assembly Majority Leader, Chief Onyemaechi on behalf of his family, his Community and Owerri West Constituency congratulated the new Provost and wished him a successful tenure.
The new Provost of Federal College of Land Resources Technology Owerri, FECOLART, Dr. Ebere Bede Onwuajiriri who is from Ebonyi State , replaces Dr. Oluyemi Akande from the South West who had served the College for N
nine years between July 2015 and September 2024.
Present to receive the new Provost were the Imo State Commissioner for Housing, Chief Bede Ekeh, the traditional ruler Olaukwu Autonomous Community Eze Apollo Ekeocha, that of Oforola Autonomous Community, Eze Kingsley Ajoku as well as the Lawmaker for Mbaitoli Constituency, Sir Innocent Ikpamezie amongst others.
