According to a popular Igbo saying; “out of two or three witnesses, the truth is established, the reality of the above Igbo maxim manifested in the life of Chief Stephen CY Uwaezuoke, the Senatorial Candidate of National Rescue Movement (NRM) party for Orlu Senatorial Zone during an interactive section with Orlu Elders Council ably led by Prof. Francis Dike, SAN and Dr Kingsley Ufere as the Secretary.
Before the interactive section began,the NRM Senatorial Candidate took time to unfold his profile and his manifesto to the admiration of his audience, which they were pleased with his personality, principles, courage, visionary leadership style and strong belief for a better and greater Orlu Zone.
His presentation was fantastic, his conviction was very strong and findings they carried out proved that his credibility was unquestionably the best amongst the rest.
In the words of the Chairman Orlu Elders Council, ‘I have looked inside the eyes of this our son when he was speaking, he doesn’t look like one who will disappoint the good people of Orlu Zone”.
“I don’t think he will leave his comfort Zone in the United States of America to come here for business as usual. There is something special about people that grew up in the western world, they are always straight forward, above all he came from a family with unquestionable reputation”
“We are greatly honored that you are coming from the United States of America, we have respect for you, we are men of integrity, we have retired civil servants, lawyers,former Vice Chancellors, Engineers, we are not money seekers, we are reputable people and we cherish our image and integrity”
We are pleased with your candidate and you have our blessing, these and many more were the words of the legal luminary when he spoke to the NRM Senatorial Candidate.
Hon. Chris Ejike scored the NRM Candidate high for his courage and tenacity and urged him to remain focused. Emeka Diwe in his words urged him to pay special attention to Erosion Sites in ideato North and South if elected into office as the menace has rendered many homeless, destroyed farms and property worth millions of naira.
Those in attendance included:Professor Protus Uzoma, Barr. Azubuike, Ugwuegbu,, Emma Izuegbu, Chime Nzeribe, Professor Chuka Okonkwo,former Vice Chancellor of Imo State University,Professor Ukachukwu Awuzie, also former Vice Chancellor of Imo State, Douglas Acholonu, former Deputy Governor of Imo State, HRH Eze John Nwosu, Chime Nzeribe amongst others.
In another development, Royal Fathers from Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State, the home LGA of the NRM Senatorial Candidate, have joined the Elders to rate Chief Uwaezuoke high and better than other senatorial candidates from Orlu Zone.
In the views of the Traditional Rulers, they maintained that Orlu Zone needs fresh and a paradigm shift from the old order.
In the words of His Royal Highness, Eze Okwudinma, the Traditional Rulers of Obibi Ochasi Autonomous Community in Orlu LGA, he expressed satisfaction that the electoral contest has a credible personality like Chief Stephen CY Uwaezuoke.
There is a popular saying that by “their fruits we shall know them” in the views of the Orlu Monarchs, the reputation and credibility of the candidate are well known to them.Some of them testify about his family background as a decent and reputable family with track record of honesty accountability and productivity.
Majority of the monarchs that spoke were of the view that they know the best among the candidates and they don’t need to be told whenever they see the best, they viewed him as the most credible amongst the rest based on background, character, capacity and competence.
Although, they did not unanimously endorsed the NRM Senatorial Candidate as their sole candidate for Imo West (Orlu Zone) but they generally embraced him and rated him better than others.
High points of the interactive section with Orlu Monarchs were pronouncement of Royal Blessings and prayers on the NRM Senatorial Candidate for a victorious election.
Now that the Orlu Elders Council and Traditional Rulers have taken the eyes elders used to look at objects inside a water and what they saw clearly when they sat down, young will not see it when standing up.
Obviously the body language of the Elders and Monarchs are clear, let’s reason and respond with their body languages because with Chief Stephen CY Uwaezuoke as the NRM Senatorial Candidate, the difference is clear
