Ahead of September 21 Imo Local Government election, the aspiration of Henry Egwuatu appears to be gathering momentum.
This is even as another political group, the political structure of Governor Hope Uzodinma has endorsed his aspiration for Orlu Local Government election.
Aside Camp Hope, one or the leading Aspirants for the said election in Orlu, Engr AIK Egbe has also withdrawn his ambition and as well endorsed same Egwuatu.
It would be recalled that few weeks ago, the leadership of the APC in Orlu wrote to the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, notifying him of their endorsement of Egwuatu as the consensus candidate of the Party in the forthcoming Local Government election.
In a release signed by the leadership of the group in Orlu and made available to Lead, they however described Egwuatu as the best amongst all the Aspirants pointing out that Egwuatu has remained the Camp Hope Coordinator in Lagos.
According to the leaders, Egwuatu was in forefront during the Governorship election of the Governor Uzodinma in Orlu in 2019 as well as in the second term.
According to the leaders, political positions are meant for those with leadership qualities and not the other way round.
