Orlu Senate: APGA Members Turn Beautiful Pride For Other Party Candidates

Ahead of 2023 Orlu Senate polls, the members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) have positioned themselves as the beautiful pride for the candidates of other political parties which include, the APC candidate for the area, Senator Osita Izunaso, the PDP candidate, Hon Jones Onyeriri, the Labour party candidate,Charles Ahize and the NRM candidate, Stephen.

Information to Lead revealed that while some of said members have held meeting with the PDP candidate,Jones Onyeriri in his country home and assured him of their Supports others are still waiting for the APC candidate, Senator Osita Izunaso amongst other candidates to see what they bring on the table.

nvestigations carried out by Lead Express revealed that majority of the APGA members in Orlu zone have vowed to support and vote for their party candidates in other elections but for the Senate,the highest bidder would have their votes.

Recall that APGA has no Senatorial candidate in Orlu zone but has House of Assembly candidates in almost all the Local Governments that make up the Zone.

This paper reliably gathered that the inability of the party to have candidate in Orlu zone was as a result of the mistake of the party in the 2019 Governorship primaries where the leadership of the party was threw to the wind free and fair primaries.
Lead gathered that majority of Imo people in the 2019 elections had interest in voting for APGA for Governorship polls given the belief it is the Igbo party but got disappointed when the primaries were not conducted as expected.
