Orlu Young Lawyers Forum has commended the National Leadership of the NBA for bringing onboard the Legal Practitioners Remuneration (For Business, Legal Service and Representation) Order 2023. This is even as they vowed to ensure it’s implementation in Orlu.
Addressing the forum after their meeting held in Orlu, the Chairman of the group, Barr. Obinna Anaele, said
“The Legal Practitioners Remuneration (For Business, Legal Service and Representation) Order 2023 has come to stay and we will give every support for it’s implement in our Local Branch. I call on all and sundry to join hands in the implementation as it is a right step in the right direction adding that With this new Order, the ten percent remittance to lawyers for legal documentation is assured. We will not hesitate to discipline defaulters as every machinery has been put in place to ensure compliance.” he said.
Barr Anaele who used the forum to appeal to his colleagues to remain abiding to the rules of professional conduct of the lawyers despite the ongoing hardship in the country however expressed optimism that things will still get better.
Describing the legal profession as noble, Anaele charged the forum to always be their brothers keepers and shun divisive acts.
