: Monarch Cools Off In Detention.
Traditional stool of Owerri Ebeiri autonomous Community in Orlu LGA appears to be shaking following allegations of aiding Kidnappers by the Traditional Ruler,HRH,Eze George Uzoma.
This is even as the said Traditional Ruler has been detained for almost two weeks by Imo Police Command.
Available information to Lead revealed that the said Traditional Ruler aided the kidnapping of the former Accountant General in Imo ,Chief Uzoho who is one of his subjects in the year 2023.
Speaking to Lead,one of the popular Traditional Rulers in Imo who chose to speak in the guise of anonymity said that the leadership of the Imo Council of Traditional Rulers had gone to police Command to find out what could keep a whole Traditional Ruler in detention for almost Two weeks but they were asked to stay away from the matter to enable police to conclude their investigations.
A security source however hinted Lead that the since the arrest and detention of the Monarch, certain persons have been arrested in connection with the said Kidnap Of the Accountant General.
Lead has it on good authority that the said Accountant General had been invited by the police and his statement taken though this paper was not in the know of the content of the statement at the time of filing this report.
It would be recalled that Orlu LGA has been one of the LGAs that suffered the menace of kidnapping since last four years.
The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma had at various occasions, charged the security agents to do anything within the confines of the law to bring to an end to insecurity in Orlu and Imo in general.
Speaking with Lead,one of the subjects of the Monarch who would not want his name in Print hinted that the Community had gone to Police Command to find out what warranted the arrest and contiued detention of their Monarch but were astonished with the kind allegations leveled against the said King hence they had no other option than to return home.
Confirming the incident, the Police PPRO,Imo State Command, Henry Okoye admitted that the said Monarch was in the Custody of the Police but demanded a little time to give Lead the charge against him at the time of filing this report.
