Owerri Senate: Onyeagocha Floors Onyewuchi, Mbata, Others In Online Poll

Less than two months to the February 2023 general elections, the PDP Candidate for Imo East Senatorial District, Hon. Uche Onyeagocha has floored Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi, Alex Mbata and other Candidates in an online poll.

The online viral poll conducted by Nigeriansdecide.com for all the 15 Senatorial Candidates in Owerri zone, saw Onyeagocha,the PDP Candidate, on an expressly crushing win over his opponents, the Labour Party Candidate, Ezenwa Onyewuchi, APC Candidate, Alex Mbata, APGA Candidate, Chyma Anthony Odiuko and Senatorial Candidates of other political parties in Owerri zone.

Out of the 12,100 votes cast, Onyeagocha thrashed his closest rival, Ezenwa Onyewuchi with a whopping difference of 564 votes, having polled a total of 4,344 votes representing 36% of the total votes, as against Ezenwa Onyewuchi who came far behind with a total of 3,780 votes representing 31% of the total votes.

The poll also saw Alex Mbata, APC Candidate coming distant fourth with a total of 271 votes representing less than 2% of the total votes, while the APGA Candidate Chyma Anthony Odiuko came third with a total of 3,154 votes representing 26% of the votes cast.

The poll also showed Njamenze Christian Kelechi of APP polling 249 votes, Opara Osondu Ogueri Darlington of AA polling 123 votes, Onyenoho Chioma Augusta of NNPP polling 102 votes, Odaghara Chijioke Valentine of ADC polling 36 votes, Michael Nwachukwu of Accord party polling 14 votes, Okere Jonathan Onyemauchechukwu of YPP polling 10 votes, Ucheoma John Okechukwu of SDP polling 8 votes, Iwuanyanwu Godwin of BP polling 4 votes, Osuji Chukwuemeka Samuel of ZLP polling 2 votes, Mike Eze of NRM polling 2 votes, and Emeto Obinna Valentine of APM polling 1 vote.
