Salary Palaver : Outcry in IMSU as Lecturers With Union Bank Account Denied Dec. Pay

Lecturers in Imo State University that have their Banks accounts domiciled with Union Bank have called on Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma to intervene over non payment of December 2024 salary.
Speaking to Lead on the guise of anonymity, one of the affected senior Lecturers revealed that all of the Lectures banking with Union Bank could not take care of their families doing this yuletide due to non payment of salary while other Lecturers banking with Zenith and other banks had their salaries paid over a week ago.
The Lecturer who appealed to Governor to intervene however lamented their future ordeals in January when their Children would be going back to Schools if this issue is not resolved.
Another Lecturer who gave his name as Chief Ogu exonerated the Governor from the issue while accusing those working in the Government House of causing the problems.
The said Chief Ogu further revealed that the affected Lecturers had visited the top School Management to look for a way of paying them but they could not pointing out that with the introduction of the Treasury Single Account,all monies are paid directly into the Government coffers.
