President Tinubu has unveiled new plans to tackle insecurity which has given Nigerians sleepless nights.
The plans according to the presidency are establishment of Forest Guards and Coastal Guards.
This was disclosed by the Special Adviser on Information & Strategy to the President, Bayo Onanuga,
Onanuga on Monday night while featuring on an Arise News TV programme revealed that the presidency has concluded arrangements to bring on board, the Forest Guards and Coastal Guards well armed to guard the Forest across Nigeria.
According to him,the bandits and kidnappers have turned the Forests as refuge hence the need for the establishment of the Guards that would almost comb the Forests
He stated that the government is currently putting everything in place to install the guards, armed security operatives, whose work is to keep all forests across the country safe from kidappers.
He said, “The President is very much concerned about the problems of insecurity. He wants to implement the idea of Forrest guards, not just forest guards. He also wants to do something like coastal guards.
